Little Dylan - Children's Photography

Little Dylan is very sweet. Although he has a lot of his mother's coloring, he actually has his father's eyes. His mother is caucasion and his dad is 1/2 japanese. I think it made for a beautiful baby boy. Dylan was a delight and definately a mover and shaker. One of my favorite shots from the session is one that I got while he was crawling away from the set. I love this age, with their chubby cheeks and all the rolls. We had to capture those little legs! I can just see these pictures being displayed at his wedding reception in 25+ years.

All in the Family - Children's Photography

How adorably matching are these kiddos. The two older kiddos are sibs and the younger is their cousin. I love their outfits. I always am a fan of matching clothes. Kaylee is such a sweet, sassy girl who was a delight. Carson was also fun, but as most 2-year-olds, was more interested in getting away from mommy and me. After the previous shoot, Pepe was MIA, so we used Rudolph to help us out. It was fun guys!

Fun & Fiesty! - Children's Photography

These kids remind me of my own fun and fiesty kiddos. They have so much personality that it really shines through in pictures --- if you can catch them! We had a little bit of trouble convincing them to stay in the studio and out of the ball pit in the adjoining play room, but we succeeded. My secret weapon -- Pepe the Puppet Dog -- usually entertains 99 percent of kiddos and I'm usually the puppeteer, but these cutie's dad was even better than I am! I'm going to have to hire him out to help with sessions! You might have missed your calling!

Little Ashlyn - Baby Photography

This beautiful little girl is just a dream. She loves to smile and also give these wistful looks like she's remembering Heaven. (Oh, I wish I could be in babies' heads sometimes and understand what they're thinking!) Here are a couple of pictures from our mini session.

Max & Morgan - Children's Photography

Max and Morgan (yeah, I wanna say "Ruby," too!) are just the cutest siblings. They really love and watch out for each other. Isn't Morgan's smile just precious?! And Max's blue eyes....they are not enhanced....that is just how blue they are. You could get lost in those baby blues. He's going to be a real heart-breaker. Watch out Mom! These two, ahem, I mean three (can't forget the cute doggie!) were just wonderful. This is actually our second session. These troopers were the victims of CF Card corrupting. We had to do the whole session again! With a few incentives, more lollie pops and a slinky and a some chapstick later, we're all smiles!

Little Rueben - Newborn Photography

Aren't they just so sweet when they're brand new. Little Rueben was as cute as he could be with his dark hair and pouty expressions. His mom is a good friend of mine and I was so grateful to capture his first week of life. It feels like it was just the other day we were taking Ashton's newborn pictures...but now he's 3. Enjoy this precious little one.

This Family is a Hoot

This crazy family is so fun. We had a hard time working we were laughing so hard. The three siblings haven't been together in a while -- all going to different schools across the country -- so they had a lot of fun catching up and playing around. We did some more of Brianna to finish her senior shoot.

Shoal Creek Smiles

If you need a pediatric dentist in the Kansas City area, you've got to check out Shoal Creek Smiles. The office is awesome, as is his personality. Check out his website http://shoalcreeksmiles.com/

Dr. Thomas from Shoal Creek Smiles Dentistry wanted to get some family pictures taken and use them to decorate his super cool new office. It was a cold day, but we had lots of fun!

Cuties in Parkville

These cuties met me at Park University for this charming photo shoot. We didn't have much time due to scheduling, but we did get some great shots.

Halloween Wrap-up (in January)

Okay, okay, I know it's January, but I wanted to show you some of the pictures from this past Halloween's mini sessions. This is a sampling. It was really fun.

Getting Caught Up! - Sweet Sisters

I usually get caught up when it turns cold and we cannot do any more outdoor shoots, but this year, I added a studio to my basement. It's been fun working with artificial lighting, but it's always kept me super busy. Because of this, I have a ton of photos to update on the blog. Here is the beginning.

These sweet sisters are adorable. They are very cute and so very different. The older one is very outgoing and the younger is shy. They're quite a pair. The picture was taken as part of their family session for Christmas cards.
