Bishop Daddy?

I am excited and humbled to announce my husband's new responsibility at our church. For the next few years, he will be volunteering his time as the Bishop in our congregation of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. (He will serve as the preacher of our congregation. All positions at our church are filled by volunteers with outside jobs and responsibilities.)

With this added responsibilty and time to serve our God and our friends, I will have to take on more responsibilities at home. With this being said, I am going to cut back a bit on my photography sessions. I am limiting my availability to Saturdays, with one appointment a week. There will some exceptions for rain-out appointments and emergencies.

Thanks to my dad for snapping this impromptu photo.

Sing'n in the Rain: Family Portraits, Shoal Creek Hodge Park

Not rain, lightning, hail or threat of tornado could stop this adorable family of five. You have to love their persistance. When it started to pour, we even did a pose underneath a covered porch. I do photography sessions at Shoal Creek's Hodge Park all the time, but the Pecks had some good ideas on different places I hadn't seen before on this lovely city park. The Three Little Bears cabin was too cute, and I love that the kids highlight of the trip was catching the frog! At least it wasn't a snake! Love this family. They are so fun to work with and it was a pleasure.

High School Friends - Family Portraits, Children Portraits, Shoal Creek Hodge Park

I was so excited to see my friend Heather from high school (Go Pioneers!) and meet her two darling children. Heather and her hubby were high school sweethearts, and they are still so in love! Their family was a pleasure to photograph. Her daughter has so much personality. They were worried we wouldn't get her to crack and smile, but with the help of Pepe the Wonder Dog Puppet, some 4-year-old potty humor and her super fun dad, you would never know she wasn't a happy-go-lucky girl. Heather's handsome 1st graders was a great poser and always ready for me to take his picture. Too cute! I had a blast, guys!

P.S. I always thought our school had a weird mascot....but my hubby's alma mater was the Colonists.... pretty close on the weird-o-meter to our beloved Pioneers!

Little Bundle of Joy - Maternity Photography - Liberty, MO

How sweet are these two little (I mean, big) cuties. They will make the best big sister and big brother to their new little sibling coming late spring. This family was a pleasure to work with and had such fun ideas for the maternity session. I think they turned out so cute, too! Enjoy the preview of your session!

Little Eliza - Children's Photography - Liberty, MO

Little Eliza has really grown up! I can't believe it's been a year since we did her baby pictures. She is just really coming into her own and we had a fun time together. We love her family and enjoy every time we get together for photo sessions (and just for dinner!) Enjoy!
